PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: EXTREMELY COLORFUL DARTER, MAXIMUM TL 80 MM, 9 LATERAL BLOTCHES, 7-8 DORSAL SADDLES, SPINOUS DORSAL FIN HAS SUBMARGINAL BLUE BAND AND A RED BAND BASALLY, LATERAL SCALES 50-56, INCOMPLETE LATERAL LINE WITH 35 PORED SCALES, DORSAL FIN 10 SPINES, 13-14 RAYS REPRODUCTION: PROBABLY SPAWNS LATE MARCH THROUGH APRIL IN SHALLOW GRAVEL RIFFLES. **VERY LITTLE IS KNOWN ABOUT THE LIFE HISTORY**
