Comments on Management Practices
There is no management interest in this tiny uncommon darter and it has little value as a forage fish due to its small size and rarity *835,1497, 2170*. Due to small size of this darter, some specimens may pass through standard-size net mesh which may lead to population underestimation *4205*. Enforcement of a law reguarding critical habitat for Clinch River and Copper Creek is proposed as a protective measure.
