Tennessee Narrative POPULATION IN DUCK RIVER THREATENED BY INUNDATION UPON COMPLETION OF POPULATIONS IN CLINCH RIVER THREATENED BY MINE WASTES AND POLLUTION; POPULATIONS IN THE POWELL RIVER ARE THREATENED BY COAL WASHINGS *5587* THE COLUMBIA DAM AND RESERVOIR *5587* Virginia Narrative The goal of the Recovery Plan is to restore present populations to a point where they may be removed from the Federal list of threatened and endangered species by 1) protecting and enhancing habitat, 2) establishing populations in streams that historically contained species *3976*. Impoundments, silt- ation, and pollution are major causes of decline. Poor agricultural and logging practices contribute to pollution and siltation of streams. Impacting fish host species indirectly effects mussel populations *4270*.TN00452POPULATIONS IN CLINCH RIVER THREATENED BY MINE WASTES ANDPOLLUTION POPULATIONS IN THE POWELL RIVER ARE THREATENED BY COAL WASHINGS*TN5587*POPULATION IN DUCK RIVER THREATENED BY INUNDATION UPONCOMPLETION OF THE COLUMBIA DAM AND RESERVOIR *TN5587*
