Distribution General Comments The range of the eastern woodrat in the United States extends from central Florida north along the Appalachian Mountains to southeastern New York and Connecticut; westerly to Nebraska and Colorado, south through Oklahoma and central Texas to the Gulf of Mexico *313*. FECES NOTED IN THE ENTRANCE ROMM OF ECHO CAVE (RUTHERFORD CO.) AND OTHER ENTRANCE AREAS ARE ALMOST CERTAINLY OF THIS SPECIES. IT IS NOT PARTICULARLY ABUNDANT IN THE SNAIL SHELL CAVE SYSTEM. *TN6217*
