The Virginia Herpetological Society would like to thank Occoneechee State Park for their hospitality, all attending VHS members and especially President Susan Watson for planning the meeting and survey.

Herps, the final frontier......
These are the voyages of the Virginia Herpetological Society.
Its continuing mission: to explore strange, new places, to seek out new amphibians, and reptiles, to boldly herp where no one has herped before.

Our survey crew consisted of approximately 30 federation surveyors. Several of us beamed down on Friday afternoon for reconnaissance and to set turtle and amphibian traps. Fortunately, the weather was much better than that forecasted.
