
Reptile Day at the Virginia Living Museum
The annual Reptile Weekend at the Virginia Living Museum was held February 14-16, 2009. Participants included the Virginia Herpetological Society, Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, and the Virginia Aquarium Stranding Team. Visitors also could enjoy craft activities, story time, story telling, and live animal shows. The feature animals of the weekend were a Galapagos Tortoise, large Burmese Python, and a Black and White Spitting Cobra. Over 4,300 visitors came to the museum to enjoy Reptile Weekend.
