13* A rarely encountered species of deep forest, most likely to be seen perched quietly in forest whence it makes a dashing hunting flights after its main food, small birds. 14* May fly rapidly from perch to perch in canopy, scan briefly, then pursue prey flushed at close range or may fly into fruiting tree full of birds, dash off after a victim; eats mostly birds, especially thrush to pigeon-sized, and lizards;
