DATABASE ABSTRACT (A brief summary of the data set): We track rare and unique species and natural communities for the state of Delaware. We have location, quality, habitat, etc. for each of the "elements" which we track. PURPOSE OF THE DATABASE: The purpose of this database is three-fold: 1) To track rare and unique species and natural communities in Delaware. 2) To provide information for environmental review, planning, etc. 3) To interface with other states' BCD so that data are available for national and international purposes.
