| DATABASE ABSTRACT (A brief summary of the data set): |

| Collection of all commerically landed finfish and shellfish
biological data. Some recreational information is also collected.
Technicians sample a percentage of the commercially landed finfish
species from areas around Virginia. Species, market category,
length, weight, etc. includes information collected.

| The information collected (inshore and offshore species) is used
to manage the fisheries in Virginia.

- Agency regulations administer the process by which the

- We have cooperative agreements with NMFS and PRFC.
