| In addition to the seven classes mapped using the satellite imagery, I added 3 other categories from ancillary data sets. Developed areas have been separated from other disturbed lands through the use of a road buffering algorithm displayed in the next few figures. Wetlands were also identified using the National Wetland Inventory (NWI) maps from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Wetlands were aggregated up to Forested and Non-forested categories to fit within this level of the hierarchy. |
