The objectives of this basic land cover map are:1.) To be able to perform both site specific, i.e.5-10 sq. kilometer areas, and statewide (Virginia is over 100,000 sq. km in area) analyses.
2.) To create the upper level in the VAGAP mapping hierarchy.
3.) To solve the basic problems of mapping such a large area with satellite imagery on personal computers. |
