ft.; females slightly longer than males; long dorsal fin, up to 74 in.
(61 cm); coloration is dark brown on the back and sides and
yellowish-white right lower lip *1043,1035*; REPRODUCTION: breeding
season is April - August; gestation period is 11.25 months; 1
offspring/reproductive period; 1 reproductive period/2 years; sexual
maturity: females 6 years, males 5 years; BEHAVIOR: move south in the
winter and north in the summer, the young are weaned at about 6 months
