Aerial Videography Slideshow List

About this page: These images were collected for the Gap analysis project (GAP) using aerial videography.  Each slide depicts one to three images of tree species or other land cover types.  Each image is a JPEG (approx. 70KB) that was converted from the original screen-captured TIF image. Text and labels on the slide show the different species and how to identify them from air video.  All video was collected in Fall 1996 (dates are shown in the list below).  Please allow some time for the images to download.

The Fish and Wildlife Information Exchange collected a variety of video images of the land cover and forests of Virginia.  There are similar slideshows available for the Piedmont and Coastal Plain region.  Click here for more information.
