The Organization of Fish and Wildlife Information Managers invites you to join its members at their Annual Meeting in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. Skills development and planning workshops will be held from noon on Saturday, August 5, through noon on Monday, August 7, at the Inn at Silver Creek near scenic Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park.

The theme of the workshops is the development of fish and wildlife information applications for intranet and Internet environments. The extensive Preliminary Agenda is already available to demonstrate the breadth and depth of coverage of the scheduled workshops.

The workshops will be developed around your responses to the OFWIM 2000 Application Survey. There is one form for describing Internet applications for fish and wildlife information, and one form for intranet (intra-agency) applications. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU COMPLETE THESE FORMS! Your responses will be compiled with others and provided as a Conference Proceedings document. Surveys can be submitted directly online, via e-mail, or by regular mail. OFWIM members will also conduct a very important planning session for the 2001 Annual Meeting and Conference during this time. Your participation in this effort will help ensure that the 2001 Meeting is most valuable for all OFWIM members.

The Conference registration fee is $65/person. Registrations should be received by July 24. Purchase orders can be taken up through July 14, 2000.

OFWIM 2000 is being held at the Inn at Silver Creek, approximately 90 minutes from Denver. A limited block of rooms have been reserved at special rates for Conference attendees ($60/night-standard, $82/night-studios, $96/night-lofts). These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until July 28, 2000. Other lodging is available in the Silver Creek area, but may be limited due to the popularity of this area in early fall.
