Assignment 4
One of the most important components of any system is feedback. It is hardly found within wildlife agencies. One reason is that objectives are missing or poorly developed. (More on that topic later.) Please click on Forest Faunal System, then on the Contents, then on Chapter 5, Feedback. Read it carefully.
Send me an email about the difference between monitoring and feedback if you have not already done so.
Feedback is sometimes used as "please reply" or simply communicating. Try to avoid this use and think of it in terms of the thermostat or some other regulatory function.
Some call feedback a "specialized process", others call it a mini-system since they see all of the components of a general system within operational feedback. Think about where you stand. Do not send me a note but be able to discuss such a question later.
See the Gamma Theory unit and then click on to the Contents or use the link below to Gamma Site Contents. From there re-read unit 31 on feedback and control (write via email one good natural resource related example of particular, practical, personal value to you now or for the very near future.)
Next, study unit 4 Rasking, a word used not unlike the reason for discussing Gamma Theory. Any suggestions for the future? Briefly, via email, as leader of a company or agency trying to achieve recognition or ease of communicating, what would you call it...this realm of faunal system work?
Next check out from the Gamma Contents, item 5, the problems with the definition. Read. No response is needed.
Review the "Principles", item 8 in the Gamma Contents. No reply needed.
