A Total Forest Management Plan

There are potentials in boat sales, rentals, races, shows, instruction, safety and rescue work. Group tours and paddling trips are evident potential profit sources. Planned group activity can stabilize income (rather than yield to random subscriptions for canoe service of float trips).
The Fishery has need for specialized boats to inventory lakes and describe their characteristic cost effectively.
The financial gains are from even sponsorship, education, boat kit sales and craftsmanship contests and races in hand-made boats, instructor certification, waterway conservation and cleanup including planning events that include recreation as well as the effects of the service provided by volunteers (who pay to participate.)
Some work may involve paddlers' rights protection.
Large lake events (e.g., Smith Mt. Lake near Roanoke, Va.) can be planned.
Exercise and weight loss from paddling/rowing can be specially planned (calories per unit of activity)? Is there (or might there be developed) a dry land paddling simulator (like a rowing exercise machine)?
Seminars may attract paying attendants to learn of great trips. There are ideas and services through the American Canoe Association, 7432 Alban Station Blvd, Suite B-232, Springfield, VA 22150-2311
