The Web Site was created in early September, 1998 and has been under continual development.

The Web site or homepage first had 16 units or sub-projects.

The Star Lights component of the site was begun 1/11/1999.

An e-mail addition was made to the Guidance - Lyme Disease document 1/12/1999 (vaccine).

Revisions were made and the first web-based course using this Web site was taught at the Northern Virginia Graduate Center beginning Jan. 19, 1999.

Major revisions and renaming from R* to Lasting Forests was done in September, 1999.

Peculiar Manor was begun to be added in November, 1999.

The server for Lasting Forests was engaged in early November, 1999.

The Brain was purchased in November 1999 and preliminary work begun of illustrating the site.

The Dickenson Departure was started in November, 1999.

Donna Shaffer did major repairs and changes in late November, 1999.

Peculiar Manor and much of The Trevey were edited and developed by Hayward Shepard for the copyrighted Peculiar Manor CD in 2001

Heikkenen units were started in 2001

In early 2001 I began consolidating wildlife units into Modern Fauna folder

The county level business plan units were added in 2002.

I shifted to Rural System concepts in later 2003 after buying the URL www.RuralSystem.com (realizing that wildlife was too narrow and finally deciding on "rural")
