Computing actual and potential costs of the wildland operation itself is very difficult, especially when 10-20 options of forest or wildland management are studied. Combining all or several of these to estimate an optimum strategy to maximize total landuse profits is one of the most complex problems within forest, argiculture, and wildland management. It is a system under development.
