- Xeric
- Dry conditions in a habitat rather than mesic (moderate) or hydric (wet) conditions. The nature of an organism adapted to dry conditions.
- Xerosere
- Stages of succession in a dry area.
- Xylem
- The tissue in higher plants which transports water, dissolved salts, and other materials (e.g., pesticides) from the roots to aerial portions of the plant.
