Frank Hodgson with the Snow Water reports that his
Corporation currently (2000) is designing a
multiple helium balloon system, the Crown Balloon System, for use over
jungle canopies (10,000 pounds gross lift). It should be able to put
up to 16 persons just over the canopy for up to 1 year (with resupply
by helicopters). Travel is not by free flight (except in emergencies)
but is realized by throwing out graples (and/or sea anchors) and by
winching to these points. We need advice on the design of specific
types of collection equipment. Interested persons are invited to
