Image is everything

Anchorage, AK ¾ We kind of have a logo. It shows up on the brochure for our working group put out by TWS headquarters. It is a computer with a picture of the world on its screen. Do you think that captures what the GIS/Remote Sensing and Telemetry Working Group is all about?

I suspect that with our diverse and creative membership we can do better. This newsletter provides you with goals, activities, keywords, philosophies, technologies, etc. which a creative soul could blend into a graphical depiction of the essence of our Working Group. That is the challenge!

Get drafting and send your jpegs, tiffs, paper drawings, whatever to Stacy McNulty (smcnulty@vt.edu; Fish and Wildlife Information Exchange, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, 203 W. Roanoke St., Blacksburg, VA 24601) and she will post them on the website. Membership feedback can help us to pick an official logo for the working group. Please submit by December 15th.

What’s in it for the winner? Besides the satisfaction of having a job well done, I might be able to throw in some authentic Alaskan smoked salmon. Now get going!
