Michelle Prysby, photographed this hatchling eastern mud turtle (Kinosternon subrubrum subrubrum) on May 3, 2008 on the nature trail at New Kent Forestry Center in Providence Forge, VA. The turtle was found by Virginia Master Naturalist program volunteers and organizers during a training workshop.
