 Species:
geographica  is from the Greek word geo which means "earth" and grapho which means "write". referring to the reticulated pattern on the carapace.

females 7 - 10.8 in. (18 - 27.3 cm), males 3.5 - 6.3 in. (9 - 15.9 cm)
