Software Reviews Published in the
Wildlife Society Bulletin
The Wildlife
Society Bulletin encourages submission of manuscripts that critically review
classes of software having broad application to wildlife conservation. For example,
Larkin and Halkin
(1994. Wildlife Society Bulletin 22:274-287) wrote an excellent review of home
range analysis software.
Rexstad
(1992. Wildlife Society Bulletin 20:457) provided guidelines for submission
of software reviews. Suggested topics include review of software which implement
- analysis of habitat use
- survival analysis
- abundance/density estimation
- population viability analysis
- experimental/sampling/monitoring
design
- graphics production
- geostatistics or spatial statistics
- educational programs in wildlife
conservation
- LARKIN, R. P. AND D. HALKIN. 1994.

Society Bulletin 22:274-287
- LAWSON, E. J. G., and A. R. RODGERS.
